Super Junior

This has been an exciting month for ELFs. In October 10, Super Junior released the special edition album for Mamacita. Since last week, SM Entertainment released two new MVs from the album.

One of South Korea’s most prominent groups, Super Junior started in 2005 and rose to international stardom with “Sorry, Sorry” in 2009.

Mamacita is Super Junior’s 7th studio album that features “This is Love”.  The digital album was released August 29th and the physical album was released September 1st. Their long-awaited album marked the return of members Lee Teuk and Hee Chul from their mandatory military service.

SM Entertainment released a special edition album that includes three new tracks (“Hit Me Up”, “…ing”, and “Don’t Leave Me”) and the stage version of “This is Love”.

To promote the repackaged album, SM Entertainment released MVs for “This is Love” and “Evanesce”. I recommend to watch “This is Love” MV because it’s visually appealing—the bright red and pink colours stand out from the black-and-white background which compliment the groovy and jazz-style of music.  The boys are lovely to look at too.

The group is nominated for Best Male Group and Artist of the Year at this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).  Voting for 2014 MAMA runs from October 27th to December 2nd. Visit the website to log in and vote.
