With the recent return of gloomy weather in “Raincouver,” headwear has become a priority for those days when you just don’t feel like making your hair pretty (since it will only get messed up by the rain anyways). When toques or full-brimmed hats aren’t what you’re looking for, try the more casual option of the snapback, or baseball cap, instead. While these hats were once considered the trademark of lazy teen males who hadn’t bothered to wash their hair, nowadays caps are available in a wide variety of patterns and textures that will greatly please your inner fashionista. This style is great for dressing down styles that might otherwise seem a bit formal– perfect those ‘blah’ days when you’re at school or on public transit.

Make sure that you find the right size and texture in your snapback purchase– you don’t want to be wearing an overly-large or itchy piece. As well, keep in mind that neutral shades tend to work better if you usually wear bright and print-heavy ensembles. Likewise, statement prints (ex. tropical or animal prints) should only be worn with neutral outfits.
Do you think you’ll be snapping back some caps in the near future?
