Have you ever thought about what would happen if mainstream met YouTube?

On June 3rd, a video of epic proportion depicting just that, was released into the world to launch the new YouTube network, YOMYOMF. Its creators consist of Justin Lim (director of The Fast and the Furious franchise, episodes of NBC’s Community), and YouTubers NigaHiga (Ryan Higa), KevJumba (Kevin Wu), and ChesterSee (Chester See).

YOMYOMF Network, launching in June, is based on the Asian American pop culture blog, “You Offend Me, You Offend My Family”. The channel intends to bring together creative and interesting individuals to share their points-of-view.

Here’s a bit of a synopsis. (Or for those of you that would rather watch the video than read about it, then by all means, click that play button now).

The video begins with KevJumba introducing YOMYOMF to the viewers at home. As he guides the camera around the studio lot, viewers are exposed to a behind-the-scene look at the on goings of YOMYOMF. At this point, we’ve met Jessica Alba and a PA carrying a banana on a tray; on her way to deliver it to Chester See.

From A to B to C-list actors, wrestlers and puppets,  guys without pants, and even animated character; YOMYOMF is filled with an array of many interesting characters. There’s a sense of promise in the air, an excitement that builds as each and every single person (or non-person) there works hard to prepare for the big launch.

However, the rising hope that I just mentioned starts faltering when Chester’s banana doesn’t arrive. He becomes enraged and accuses Ryan of stealing it. After a heated argument, things take an even worse turn when the two start to fight which of course, triggers a war to break out.

If this video serves as any real indication as to what happens to our world when mainstream meets YouTube, then you should be afraid, be very afraid. This video is certainly not for the faint of heart as it’s sure to be one of the most catastrophic depictions of reality you have ever seen!

Will peace be achieved by the time YOMYOMF is set to launch? Stay tuned.
