Big Bang to take on the World

Earlier this morning, YG Entertainment released an interesting picture in the midst of a promotional blitz for Big Bang’s newest mini-album, “Alive.” The year 2012 already looks promising for Big Bang and their fans as the Korean mini-album is scheduled for release at the end this month, and a Japanese album coming out in March.

Still, YG has bigger plans. The picture released today was a promotional picture for the group’s upcoming “Alive Tour” series. What is more compelling is the series will be going global in collaboration with Live Nation, a California based entertainment company. No details have been released at this time but this could mean a Big Bang solo concert in Canada and US.

Meanwhile, YG will continue releasing concept pictures of “Alive” in the following days.

Details of the “Alive World Tour 2012” have just been released. It is official, Big Bang is coming to North America!

The concert series will kick off from March 2nd to 4th at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium. Afterwards, the show will be heading to 25 cities in 16 countries, in Asia, Europe, South America, and North America.

Live Nation has had a reputation for helping world tours for international sensations like Madonna and U2. Big Bang will now be joining the ranks as Live Nation’s first Asian group/singers.

Live Nation stated,

“We are very happy that we are working with YG Entertainment and Big Bang to show [our work] to worldwide K-pop fans. If this performance is a good starting point for the Korea branch we established last December, we expect it to contribute to the K-pop fever expansion.”

In conjunction, YG Entertainment commented,

“We are in the process of preparing the world’s best concert with the best production team to equal the anticipation of the world fans who are waiting for the first concert they will get to meet Big Bang … With the newly released album and the starting of the world tour, you will be able to confirm Big Bang’s maturity and skill.”

Let’s hope they come to a city near you! Be sure to check AX3 for the latest updates on Big Bang touring North America.
