UNIQLO Meets NYC: The Movie

November 3, 2011 Winnie LZ Comments

Few people can capture the life of a city like Japanese filmmaker Takayuki Akachi.

Akachi directed a documentary film that traces the birth of the new UNIQLO Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York.

What’s unique about the film is that it not only shows the construction of the store and of UNIQLO culture, but it also shows the whole atmosphere, feel and pulse of NYC.

Seeing the film, one feels as if one is visiting NYC, riding the bus, roaming the streets and watching the night traffic zip by.

The audience also gets a sneak peek at the ultra-posh parties for the store’s grand opening. 10 points for the viewer who spots the UNIQLO white-cube beverage glasses!

Don’t forget to check out the super-cool, up-close version of this film at UNIQLO NYC NOW.
