Behind every girl group in the Korean music industry, there lies a concept for their image and style. For the upcoming Swing Girls, theirs is a bit different to say the least.
Comprised of five females in their mid-20s, the girls will be capitalizing on the sexy concept made famous by the diva Lee Hyori. But they hope to differentiate themselves with two factors: their height of 170cm (which is quite tall for a Korean female), and wait for it.. their d-cup sized breasts! Yep, that’s right, boobs.

While the group will likely draw a large number of their fanbase from males (think AKB48), is there enough potential in that demographic for the group to actually succeed? We all know sex sells, but for foreign fans, the concept of d-cup breasts might seem more like a joke than a strategy as a d-cup in Korea is roughly the average b-cup size in North America.

Compared to G.NA (pictured above) who actually possesses the blessed (or unfortunate depending on how you see it) North American d-cup size, the girls have nothing on this popular solo artist. It’s well known that she can’t even find her bra size in Korean retail stores because her breasts are too big.
Slated to debut on the 19th, the girls will be promoting two tracks titled, “Run X3″ and “Popsicle”, all the while wearing stewardess outfits. “Stewardesses are like a romantic fantasy for men and a dream for women, which is what we hope to become.”
Do you think the current state of K-Pop is reflected in the creation of this group? This is probably one of the most bizarre concepts for a group to date, and not just in the Korean entertainment business either!
Managing Editor for AX3. I have a passion for cheesy romantic comedies and tear-inducing melodramas. I also enjoy long walks on the beach. Too cliché?
