Yesterday, MC Jin (歐陽靖) released his new Cantonese album 回香靖 Homecoming to the public. This will be his second Cantonese album and latest from his 2008 album, ABC. The album 回香靖 Homecoming represents his experience, feelings and aspirations he had in the last 3 years living and experiencing Hong Kong. Jin hopes by hearing his new album, you will agree on some of the lyrics that he raps about.
In May this year, he upload a music video to promote his album release. Jin (歐陽靖) released his first MV from his new album named, Surge in Popularity (人氣急升) which was directed by Catch Adventures. The music video has an appearance of Carl Choi, Jin’s manager, who gives Jin odd jobs to make some money after he spend lots of his vacation and wedding. On the description of the video, he explain the reason behind the song to his non-cantonese fans and to sum the explanation, Jin states to not get caught up in the fame and the moral of the story: Fame is an illusion.
The American born MC Jin, started his music career in the United States with his first album in 2004 under Ruff Ryder Label and Virgin Records. He has done lots since then with 4 more albums, new record label under Crafty Plugz and Catch Groups, many singles and mixtapes. As well as becoming an emcee and host for several TVB events and shows. As well as being the spokesperson for Vita Lemon Tea He recently performed in Vancouver, B.C. Canada at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in May 2011. AX3 attended that concert and was also able to conduct an one-on-one interview with Jin.
