While the Japanese always seem to have a way to make tiny things tinier, the Americans tend to go by “bigger is better”. Well here’s a hybrid of the two.
Sushi Delight, a restaurant in Lomita, California specializes in a gigantic 6 pounds sushi roll called the Godzilla Roll. The roll is made of 6 pounds of seafood, topped with a special house sauce. Customers who order this, are not only in for a treat, but are also daring themselves to a challenge. After signing a waiver form required by the restaurant, customers have a total of one hour to devour the roll. During this time, they may not leave the restaurant or even go to the washroom. The catch is, if you don’t finish your plate, you will get a place on the Wall of Shame, a box to take your leftovers home, and a hefty $34.95 (price of the Godzilla itself) bill. But if you DO finish it completely, well you’ll make it onto the Wall of Fame, get a free t-shirt and the roll will be free of charge.
Who’s up for the challenge?
