The news is out, the Hard Rock Cafe will be coming to Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong (LKF). But the sad news is, LKF will be losing a lot of business and its people for the next year or two. Starting September, the California Tower and California Entertainment Building will be re-constructed into one 24 storey building that has outdoor terraces and rooftop gardens. The Hard Rock Cafe will take over the Hong Kong Brew House and The Cavern space at the LKF Tower. Finds (a Scandiniavian restaurant), and possibly others, will be relocating to other locations because the rent for the space has doubled or tripled. The construction and soaring rent prices are driving away Hong Kong’s best bars and clubs.
With this going on at LKF, where would you go for your night out?
